Vent: Walked into a 2024 Samsung fridge that was only 18 months old and the main board was toast

Was at a house in Phoenix last week. Lady said her ice maker stopped working, then the whole fridge went dark. No error codes, no nothing. Samsung wanted $380 for a new board and it's backordered 6 weeks. She's stuck with a $2,800 paperweight. Has anyone else seen these newer models just fail way too early?

Didn't used to believe the hate until my buddy's 2022 Samsung did the same thing at 16 months. It definitely changed my mind on buying their appliances.

@lilya76 Yeah, have you tried checking the thermal fuse first? That's what killed mine around 14 months. Little 10 dollar part but it'll shut the whole thing down if it blows. Easy fix if you got a multimeter.. or know someone who does.

Damn, a $2800 fridge dead in 18 months? That's brutal.
