Walked into a laundromat yesterday and found 3 commercial dryers with the same failed idler pulley
The place off Route 9 in Clifton had all three machines from different years but the same plastic pulley cracked in half. Has anyone else noticed these things failing faster than the older metal ones used to?

All three with the same plastic part? That's just terrible design.

@jana_jones is right, that design flaw is brutal for anyone running a business. You might want to source the metal replacement pulleys from a parts supplier online, they cost a bit more but last way longer. Saves you from having to swap them out every year for sure.

@marywilson I swapped to metal pulleys on my setup too and @jana_jones is right, it makes a huge difference. Haven't had to touch them in over two years now.
