Had to choose between dropping a 400 pound oak limb on my truck or across a neighbors prize rose garden

Picked the rose garden, spent two hours apologizing and helping replant things, but at least my F-150 didn't get a new sunroof how would you have handled that split decision.

Not enough people talk about what happens when you're stuck in the middle of nowhere with no cell signal. Truck or car, doesn't matter if you can't even call for help. Kind of makes you realize having roadside assistance or a backup plan is way more important than the ride itself. But hey, that's just what living rural and breaking down twice taught me lol.

You ever been stuck in a snow drift at 2am with no cell service though? I'll take a 4x4 truck and a shovel over a sedan with good mileage any day of the week. A backup plan is cool and all, but if your car can't even get through the mud or snow to begin with, you're already beat before you start. Being stranded with a working phone still sucks when nobody can reach you for hours. So yeah, I get your point about planning ahead, but the vehicle you're in still sets the limit on where you can even go in the first place.
