Hit 1000 tree pruning cuts in one day and it showed me something

I always thought I was careful with every cut, but after my 400th or so I started getting sloppy with the angle on my final cuts. Counted up at the end and realized I had to go back and recut nearly 30 of them. Has anyone else noticed their quality drop after a certain number of cuts in a shift?

@wren638 made a solid point but did anyone test their cuts after a rainy morning?

Oh man, the tool thing hits home. I had a pair of pruners that were so dull I started making those jagged cuts that look like a beaver chewed them. Didnt even notice until my wrist started hurting from squeezing so hard.

Start checking your gear too because that's when I realized my loppers were getting dull around cut 500 and I was torquing the handles trying to compensate. Switched to a fresh blade on my handsaw halfway through and the difference was night and day, cleaner cuts with way less effort. The fatigue messes with your form but also makes you ignore the tools telling you they need attention.
