My first solo crane-assisted removal went smoothly

I was nervous about working with the crane operator, but we talked through each step. The tree was a big elm close to a house, so we had to be careful. We dropped it right where we planned with no hits. It feels good to have that done right.

Proper planning really shows, doesn't it? Getting through a tight drop like that without a scratch must be a huge relief. Talking it all through with the operator first is always the way to go for a clean job.

How did you even sleep the night before with a house that close?

Nice. Sounds like you got a good operator. Nothing beats that no-damage feeling.

Remember when we had that close call with the fence last summer? I mean, the operator was just spot on, talking through every move like baker.willow said. Idk, it was such a relief when nothing got scratched. We had to squeeze between two trees, and everyone was holding their breath. Maybe it's just me but that kind of focus from the operator makes all the difference. You just don't forget moments like that, you know?
