Remembering a crazy week with the 2018 derecho storm in Ohio
That week we got over 300 calls in three days, all from that one storm. I worked 18 hours straight on day two, just clearing roads so people could get home. The sound of chainsaws was everywhere, like a weird, sad concert. What made it stand out was how everyone helped each other, even crews from three states over showed up to chip in. It was the hardest work I have ever done, but also the most I have ever felt like part of a team. Has anyone else been through a storm cleanup that big and have tips for keeping a crew going that long?
