DAE think the weirdest part of archaeology is how fast a 900 year old pot piece becomes a paperweight on your desk?
Three years ago at a dig near Tucson I spent 20 minutes bagging and tagging a plain old sherd, and last week I caught myself using it to hold down a receipt, which made me wonder if anyone else has a find that went from priceless to just plain handy.
