Picked the wrong dig site last summer because of a bad map
I had to choose between two potential Roman villa spots near the Cotswolds based on old survey notes. Picked the one with the fancier description, spent 3 days digging up nothing but a 19th century trash pit. The other team found mosaic tiles on day one.
