Seeing the difference at the Çatalhöyük site after the new imaging work

I was looking at photos from the dig in Turkey from 2015 and then the ones they just released. The new photogrammetry and 3D mapping they did last year shows the wall paintings in the shrines way clearer. You can actually see the leopard spots and handprints now, details that were just muddled shapes before. What other sites do you think could really benefit from this kind of tech upgrade?

Honestly every site with those old grainy photos needs a re-scan.

My cousin worked on a dig in Peru last year where the old photos just showed rock piles. I mean, maybe they could find something with better scans.

Used to think old photos were just for show, like a before picture in a home makeover. Then I saw a report where they scanned some blurry 1920s expedition shots with new tech. They found the outline of a whole building foundation under a field that everyone thought was empty. Totally changed how I see those old rock piles now.
