Warning: I had to pick between two dig sites in Turkey and I still wonder about the one I skipped

I got offered a spot on two digs last summer, one at Gobekli Tepe and one at a smaller site near Izmir, and I went with Gobekli Tepe because of the T-shaped pillars everyone talks about. The Izmir crew ended up finding a bronze figurine about 3 inches tall in their second excavation square. I keep telling myself the big site was the safer pick for my resume, but idk. Has anyone else turned down a dig and regretted it later?
