6 years of stacking Orion shots and I still mess up flats
Used to just take flats quick at twilight and call it good. Then last year I started doing them at dawn with a light panel, way more consistent. Anyone else find their darks or bias frames matter more now than when they started?

Light panel at dawn" is the move. I switched to a dedicated flat panel a couple years back and it made a bigger difference than I expected. Calibration frames matter more the deeper your data gets, in my experience.

My buddy had the same flat panel setup. @ray_martinez82 is spot on about that.

Don't you find that the tools we rely on the most end up being the quietest workhorses in our setups...
