A guy at the Grand Canyon star party told me my focus was trash and he was right
I posted a stack of Andromeda shots from my trip out to the South Rim in July and figured they were fine, then a guy named Dale quietly pointed out every single star was a little soft because I was focusing on a bright star instead of using a Bahtinov mask. I was annoyed for about a day, then bought a $25 mask and my next batch of Orion shots was razor sharp. Now I run focus assist every 30 minutes because temps out there swing fast. Anyone else get humbled at a star party and actually change their whole workflow over it?
