DAE remember how long it took to get a good shot of the recent lunar eclipse?

I spent hours in the cold waiting for the moon to hit totality, but clouds kept rolling in right at the key moments. My fingers were numb by the time I finally got a clear view and snapped the series for a composite image. It took three different attempts over two months to get everything lined up right. Anyone have similar tales of weather battles for a photo?

Ever think the fight with weather is half the fun?

Seriously, I read a whole blog post about other photographers fighting cloud cover that same night.

Bet they all secretly formed a support group for universal cloud conspiracy victims.

But honestly, is it worth freezing your fingers off for a moon photo?
