Stacking exposures fixed my blurry astronomy shots at Cherry Springs
Spent two nights at Cherry Springs State Park in PA fighting star trails and noise. Tried shorter exposures and higher ISO but nothing looked clean. Switched to 30 frames at 8 seconds each and stacked them in DeepSkyStacker. First time I got the Orion Nebula without the red and blue splotches wrecking it. Anyone else have a stacking routine that works better than DSS?

Honestly, I used to think stacking was just overkill for casual shots. But after fighting the same splotchy mess at home, I finally tried it last month and wow, the difference is night and day. Tbh, DSS feels clunky to me still, but the results are worth it.
