Finally gave in and tried a cordless impact after swearing by air tools for 10 years

I was dead set against battery powered stuff till I grabbed a Milwaukee on sale for $250 last month. That thing ripped off lug nuts that my old air gun would have chattered on, no hose dragging around. Anyone else made the switch and found a use for their old compressor?

Oh man I feel this! I was the exact same way for years, had this big bulky 60 gallon compressor taking up half my garage space. Finally switched when I needed to pull a stubborn axle nut on my truck and my air gun just wouldnt budge it. Borrowed my neighbors DeWalt and it snapped that thing off like butter. Now I use my compressor mostly for airing up tires and blowing out the garage, but honestly I just grabbed one of those little Milwaukee tire inflators and that thing works great too. The only thing I miss is my old impact for those all day jobs where the battery would die, but now I just keep a couple spares and Im good.

Honestly @vera_robinson36, that axle nut story hits close to home. I had the same thing happen with my old air gun and realized halfway through a brake job on my F150 that I was stuck. Tbh I still keep the compressor around for the same stuff you mentioned, but those battery impacts are next level.

Honestly I used to think air tools were the only way but you've changed my mind on that.
