Hit 100,000 miles on my work truck and the alternator died the same day

I crossed 100k on my 2014 F-150 last Tuesday and the battery light came on 10 minutes later, has anyone else had a major part fail right at a milestone like that or was it just bad luck?

Man that is wild, my old Silverado hit 150k on the dot and the water pump blew about an hour later. I had just finished telling my buddy how solid it had been, then boom, coolant everywhere on the highway. Mileage milestones like that seem to curse things, I swear the truck knows.

My 4Runner made it to 161,300 before the radiator decided to self destruct on a Sunday. I had just washed it too, so it looked real pretty sitting there in a puddle of green coolant. That truck knew I was feeling good about it and wanted to humble me real quick. Mileage milestones are basically the vehicle version of a countdown timer that we cant see. Now I just knock on the dashboard every time I roll past a nice round number.
