Hit 500 brake jobs without a single comeback this morning

I've been turning wrenches at a small shop in Akron for about 8 years now. This morning I finished up my 500th brake job and realized I haven't had a single comeback or complaint on any of them. That feels pretty good, not gonna lie. I think it comes down to being really picky about cleaning the hub faces and torquing lugs by hand instead of with an impact. Plus I always test drive after and listen for any weird noises. Has anyone else tracked a specific milestone like this, or am I just a nerd about my numbers?

Buddy of mine in Columbus hit 200 transmissions rebuilt without a problem, then his very next one came back on a flatbed leaking like a sieve. That's just how it goes sometimes, you know? 500 brakes is solid though, gotta respect that.

Man I know exactly what you mean. I had a run of 150 water pumps on Chevy 350s that went perfect, then number 151 dumped all its coolant the second we started it up. We pulled it back off and found a casting flaw in the housing, just a tiny pinhole you couldn't see until it was under pressure. Stuff like that makes you wonder if the universe is just messing with you sometimes.
