I almost lost a finger using a breaker bar wrong last Tuesday

I was under a lifted F-150 in my shop in Portland, trying to break loose a seized lower control arm bolt. Had the bar positioned so when it gave, my hand swung straight into the frame rail. Took me 15 minutes to stop bleeding and realize I need a new technique. Anyone else had a close call with a cheater bar they'd rather forget?

Did you have the cheater bar facing the right way?

Thought I had it right but nope, I had it on backwards and ended up twisting the bolt the wrong way. Idk if it was the heat or just being tired but I must have stared at that thing for five minutes before it clicked. Maybe it's just me but I swear those things come with reverse instructions written in invisible ink. I mean, you think you're being all tough using a cheater bar and then physics just laughs at you.

Cheater bar taught you a physics lesson the hard way.
