I've been using a pry bar wrong for like a decade

I was trying to get a stubborn control arm bushing out of a 2005 Civic last week, and my apprentice just stared at me. He finally goes, 'You know you can flip that thing around, right? The curved end is for pulling.' I'd always used the straight end to hammer stuff loose and never even noticed the other side had a purpose. Felt like a complete idiot standing there with grease on my face. Anyone else have a basic tool trick they missed for way too long?

Oh man, that's the kind of thing that would haunt me for weeks.

Let it go fast. I find it's better to move on than dwell on stuff.

My brain has a 72 hour rule. If I'm still upset about something after three days, then I have to actually deal with it. Before that, I just try to distract myself completely. It works most of the time.
