Realized I was torquing lug nuts in the wrong order for 8 years

Ngl, I always just went clockwise around the wheel until a customer's rotor warped twice in a month and a senior tech pointed out I should've been doing a star pattern on 5-lug setups, never even thought about the load path. Who else learned a basic sequence this late or am I the only one who missed that day in class?

Wait, you actually read the manual before torquing, or did you learn the hard way too @lewis.finley? lmao, I figured the star pattern was just some old school thing, not something that would actually warp a rotor that fast. Once I saw the load path on a cutaway it clicked, everyone should have to watch that before they touch a wrench.

Wait, so you never checked the factory manual for torque sequence, right?
