Switched from snap-on scan tool to a cheap bluetooth one for basic diag
Back in 2018 I was using a full snap-on scanner for everything, even simple code pulls. Paid around $3500 for it. Last year I picked up a $40 bluetooth adapter and the app on my phone for quick reads. The snap-on still wins for modules and bi-directional stuff, but for a 10 minute check engine light look, the cheap one saves me time walking back and forth. Same results on 90 percent of the codes. Has anyone else downgraded their daily driver tool for the easy stuff? What do you keep the expensive one for now?
