The $40 fuel pressure gauge that made me eat my words about cheap tools

I've been turning wrenches for 15 years and always swore off the cheap Amazon specials, especially after a Harbor Freight torque wrench lied to me on a head gasket job back in 2018. Last month I was chasing a no-start on a 2015 F-150 and my Snap-on gauge was in another shop, so I grabbed a $40 OTC one from the NAPA on 7th street. That thing read 38 psi at key-on, found a bad fuel pump relay in 10 minutes, and I've used it twice since without a hiccup. Anyone else had a budget tool that surprised the hell out of them, or am I just lucky?
