TIL a squirrel can jam a fuel line

I was working on a 2012 Civic in my home shop in Boise when the owner said it just stopped running. Found a whole walnut wedged into the fuel line near the filter, must have been a squirrel's winter stash. Now I always check the undercarriage for animal nests first, even on simple no-starts. Anyone else find weird stuff blocking car parts?

Ever have a car that smells like old fries? I mean, I pulled a whole family of fast food napkins out of a cabin air filter once, it was like a greasy paper snowstorm. My own car had a weird rattle for weeks and it turned out to be a pinecone rolling around in the wheel well. I felt so dumb for not checking there first. Guess I'm not winning mechanic of the year anytime soon.

Cars just become weird little museums of our lives, like @parkerbrown's corn dog fossil.

That greasy paper snowstorm @hollyl25 mentioned is nothing, I once pulled a petrified corn dog from a truck's frame rail.

Man, I found a fossilized taco under a seat once. Weird what collects in there!
