Tried a cheap ultrasonic cleaner on fuel injectors. Worked way better than expected.

Picked up a $60 ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight last week. Threw in some old injectors from a 2005 Silverado that were running rough. Ran them through 3 cycles with some CRC cleaner. Car idles smooth as butter now. Anyone else had luck with budget gear like this?

That 2005 Silverado is a common truck for injector issues, my neighbor had the same problem with his. I’m real glad the cheap cleaner worked out for you. I tried a similar $50 one off Amazon last year on a set of injectors from my old Ford Ranger, and it honestly shocked me how much gunk came out. I ran them through about four cycles with some Berryman B12 and they came out looking almost new. It’s nice to know you don’t always have to spend big money to get good results. Sometimes the budget gear really does the trick if you give it a little time.

That Berryman B12 is no joke, I've used it on a couple sets of injectors myself. The key is letting them soak long enough, like you said with those four cycles. I usually throw them in a cheap ultrasonic cleaner with some of that stuff and let it run for an hour, comes out like a brand new part. The $150+ professional cleaners are nice, but for a weekend project this method saves a ton of cash. Just make sure you blow out all the solvent with compressed air before you reinstall them, or you'll be chasing a misfire for days.

I read somewhere that the Berryman B12 actually has a lot of the same ingredients as the expensive pro stuff, just costs way less. My neighbor tried the ultrasonic trick too and said it worked great.
