Walked into a shop in Dayton to buy a $5 cotter pin and saw a guy using a torque wrench as a breaker bar
I was at a parts store off Route 4 last Tuesday picking up a cotter pin for a lawn tractor. There's a bay in the back where a guy was working on his own truck. He had a 1/2 inch torque wrench on a rusted lug nut, just leaning on it with a cheater pipe. I didn't say anything but the counter guy saw me staring and just shook his head. Wrench was probably a $200 Snap-on too. I get it, you use what you got, but that clicker is never gonna be right again. Has anyone actually called somebody out for that at a parts store before? I never know if it's my place or not.
