Warning: cheap brake pads cost me $400 in rotor damage

Bought the $20 pads from AutoZone last month. They wore down in 3 weeks and gouged my front rotors bad. Anyone else learn this lesson the hard way?

Dude, you paid the "stupid tax" in full with that one. I swear, some people treat brake pads like they're buying discount sneakers and then act surprised when they turn into brake shavers. $20 pads are basically just a suggestion that your car might stop, not a promise. Hope you at least got a cool grinding sound out of it before the tow truck showed up.
