Went to the new parts store on 5th Street and the tool section was a joke
They had a whole wall of those cheap, shiny socket sets. The kind that round off bolts. Picked up a 10mm, felt like it was made of tin. Guy behind the counter said they sell a ton of them to weekend warriors. Makes sense why we see so many stripped lugs. Anyone know a good spot for real tools around here now?

Ugh, right? I bought a set like that once and the ratchet broke on the third turn. It's just sad what passes for tools now. I've been going to the old hardware store on Maple since they closed the real parts shop.

Remember my buddy Carl? He got a socket set from one of those big box stores, the kind that looks decent in the package. First time he tried to loosen a lug nut, the whole square drive sheared right off. Just snapped clean. He was so mad he threw the whole thing in the dumpster.

My 10mm from a gas station set has lasted three years. People just crank on stuff way too hard.
