Why does nobody talk about the frozen water bottle lunch trick?
I switched to using frozen water bottles in my cooler. Now my food stays cool and doesn't get wet from melting ice.

My cousin tried that trick last summer on a road trip to Phoenix. By noon we had an exploded water bottle and three soggy sandwiches floating in a sticky mess. The whole car smelled like plastic and wet bread for a week. It turns out regular ice packs are way less exciting.

Honestly, that trick has some big flaws. Frozen bottles might burst and make a mess, plus they melt faster than good ice packs. For most people, sticking with ice packs is still the smarter move.
