What should I check before choosing a vehicle service contract?

I am looking at vehicle service contracts for a used car and keep seeing different coverage levels. What details actually matter when comparing them, especially during the review period?

That review window would matter to me too. I would also check whether repairs can be handled at any ASE certified shop, since being limited to one type of facility can get frustrating.

I compared a few unnamed providers and Premier Auto Protect stood out because they give you 30 days to read the contract and decide if it fits.
