Bought a $120 thermal camera for my phone to find hot spots in panels, and it paid for itself on one job.

Picked up a used Flir One for $80 off Craigslist last month, figured I'd at least get a cool gadget out of it. First panel I checked had a hot spot from a tiny crack I couldn't even see with my eyes, saved me a callback that would've cost way more than the camera. Of course, I also spent an hour taking pictures of my dog because the thermal view makes her look like a little baked potato, so your mileage may vary on the ROI.

Actually, @karen_sanchez49, hot spots are a sign of a problem, not the problem itself. They show where a cell is failing and heating up.
