Reminds me of the time a buddy used epoxy on a spark plug wire, never seen a car so confused.

Oh man, @charles_mitchell, that epoxy trick is a classic "fix it till it's broken" move. Your buddy basically gave that car a permanent misfire and a new hobby of coughing down the highway. My neighbor tried the same thing with duct tape on a fuel line and the engine started sounding like a confused lawnmower. Never underestimate how creative people get when they don't want to buy the right part.

Huh yeah that epoxy story is rough. I tried the same thing once but with high temp silicone on a cracked distributor cap. Honestly it held for like two weeks before it just gave out and the car started bucking like a horse. What finally worked for me was just biting the bullet and ordering the right cap and wires online, cost like 30 bucks and took ten minutes to swap. Sometimes the "fix" just makes things worse and you end up doing the real repair anyway.
