Rant: Pulled an old KX-155 out of a 172 and the thing still worked after 30 years of Texas heat

I put it on the bench just to test it before tossing it and it passed every single check, which really makes me wonder if we're overcomplicating these new glass panels with all their failure modes.

Yeah I used to think old glass was basically the same as new glass but you make a really good point about that Texas sun breaking things down over time. That honestly changed how I see those old panels.
