Senior tech told me my harness routing was 'aesthetically lazy' and it stung but he was right
I spent 3 years just jamming wire bundles into whatever path was shortest until he showed me how a 15 minute reroute kept them away from a hot bleed air line and now I check clearance on every install, anyone else get humbled by a grumpy old timer on something you thought didn't matter?

Pick pretty much any old house and you'll see the same philosophy. Someone threw a coat of paint over rot and called it a day, then twenty years later you're tearing out a whole wall. That lazy routing thing carries over to cooking too, like when you skip trimming the fat off a cheap cut of meat because you're in a hurry, and the whole dish comes out greasy and sad. There's always a grumpy old timer somewhere who's already made that mistake and is just waiting for you to do it so they can point it out.
