Shoutout to the FAA's own data on wiring faults

Read their 2023 safety report. It said 18% of general aviation incidents they looked at had a wiring issue as a primary cause. I always thought it was way lower. Anyone else see that and have it shift their daily inspection focus?

Yeah, that stat lines up with a mechanic friend saying he finds chafed wires way more often than people expect. Makes you want to double-check those bundles.
