Got stuck overnight on the Highline Trail because I didn't check the water report
Spent 8 hours bushwhacking back to the trailhead after my dry creek crossing turned into a 3-mile detour. Anyone else ever get humbled by assuming a water source would be flowing?

Haha wait, I actually read that a little different. It's not really about being humbled like you failed or something, more like realizing how fast things can change. But yeah, been there too.
