Figured out a trick for keeping my shed floor dry after heavy rain

I got tired of water seeping in under my shed's base every time it rained hard. Tried raising it up on blocks last month but that just made it worse because the skirting wasn't sealed. Finally grabbed a roll of heavy-duty vapor barrier from Home Depot for $25 and ran it up the sides about 8 inches, stapled to the framing underneath. Three big storms later and the floor is bone dry. Has anyone else dealt with a leaky shed and found a better fix than just more caulk?

water seeping in under my shed's base" thats exactly what happened to my buddy mark. he spent like 3 weekends digging a french drain around his whole shed and it worked okay for a bit but then the dirt settled and it got clogged with leaves and pine needles from his yard. his neighbor told him about this rubber membrane stuff you roll out and he got so fed up he just laid down a whole tarp and put his shed back on top of it. said hes never touching another shovel again lol.

oh man I actually just watched a youtube video about this exact thing. Some contractor guy was saying how french drains work great until they don't, especially if you got trees nearby dropping stuff. He mentioned that the rubber membrane trick works but you gotta make sure the ground is sloped right first or the water just pools on top of the tarp and finds its way in eventually. Your buddy Mark probably saved himself a ton of headache though. I remember reading somewhere that a lot of those rubber roof membranes for sheds come with a ten year warranty too, so its not a bad investment.
