I always thought raised beds were a waste of lumber and money, until last weekend when I helped my neighbor harvest 14 pounds of tomatoes from beds he built for $60 total. Turns out his soil was garbage clay and the beds were the only reason anything grew at all. Now I'm pricing out cedar boards, anyone got a cheap source near Tucson?
