Saw a guy in Ohio use old pallet wood for a whole fence, and it made me rethink my scrap pile
I was at a flea market in Dayton 3 months ago and watched him load 40 boards into a truck for $20. Has anyone else tried pallet wood for a gate or is it just me?

That line about rethinking your scrap pile had me laughing because my own scrap pile is basically a pallet graveyard at this point. I built a small gate out of pallet wood last summer and it held up fine after I sanded it down and hit it with some cheap stain. Just check for the stamped codes on the boards first, some of them are treated with stuff you don't want in your yard.
