Everyone swears by artificial turf for low-maintenance yards but I went with a clover lawn instead

After two years of my clover lawn surviving drought, needing zero fertilizer, and staying green without daily watering, my neighbors who dropped $8,000 on fake grass are already dealing with faded spots and trapped dog pee smell - has anyone else taken the natural route and regretted it or loved it?

Try it after a full summer of mud turning your dogs paws into brown messes tracked through your house.

Dropping $8k on fake grass and then crying about dog pee smell is a pretty funny problem to have honestly. I mean you paid for a plastic lawn that basically becomes a giant litter box when it's hot. Clover sounds like it needs SOME upkeep with mud season and all but at least you're not breathing in recycled rubber fumes every time you walk outside. People act like a little dirt on the dog's paws is the end of the world, get a mat and a hose.
