Shoutout to whoever suggested using landscape fabric under gravel paths

Spent 6 hours pulling weeds out of my gravel path last spring before I finally laid down fabric and now I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner have any of you had a similar DIY regret that took way longer than it should have?

Did you put the fabric down right or just toss it on top?

Pressed it down flat with my hands first then smoothed the edges, never just toss it.

Wait, hold up - you actually pulled weeds for 6 hours before you thought to put fabric down? Man, I spent like 3 summers doing that before I finally woke up.
