The fence post rock discovery after 3 winters of leaning panels
We redid the back border last spring in Columbus and dug out a 4 foot post that was sitting on a softball sized rock. The previous owner must have just tossed it in and backfilled. Three winters of frost pushed the whole fence line sideways because of that one spot. I now use a digging bar to probe every hole before I set concrete and it took maybe 10 extra minutes per post. Anyone else ever find something weird under an old fence that explained a nagging problem?

A rock under one post caused 3 winters of sideways fence, sounds like a stretch to me.
