Everyone trashes the 2019 Hellboy reboot but the Baba Yaga sequence is the best 20 minutes in any comic book movie
I know the 2019 Hellboy is basically a punchline at this point. My brother made me sit through it last Friday and I went in ready to hate it. But the sequence where Hellboy fights the Baba Yaga and her chicken leg house in that Russian village is genuinely great. The creature design is gross in a fun way, the fight has real weight, and David Harbour sells the whole thing. Does anyone else think that one chunk is worth defending even if the rest of the movie is a mess?
