Serious question, did anyone else love Bio-Dome because it knows it is dumb?
I watched Bio-Dome with my brother back in 1998 at a friend's place in Reno and we laughed at it the whole way through, not with it, at it. Then I sat down with it again solo 6 weeks ago and something clicked, the movie never pretends to be smart for even a second. Pauly Shore being locked in a mall with a Bob Dylan wanna-be for 4 days is a gag machine that keeps running and the pacing never drags. Critics killed it with a 5 percent score but the jokes hit harder when you stop grading it like a real film. So am I the only one who thinks it works as dumb fun on purpose, and what other 90s clunkers deserve the same defense?
