Hit 1,000 saved Reddit posts and now I feel like a hoarder

So last night I was cleaning out my bookmarks (finally, after like 2 years) and I saw the counter on my saved posts tab. It said 1,000 exactly. I have never saved a single one of them again. Like, not one. I just save things thinking 'oh I'll need this later' and then I scroll forever and forget it exists. I found a tutorial on fixing a squeaky chair from 2019 that I never watched, a cake recipe I've never made, and 47 posts about budgeting tips I never followed. Honestly it made me wonder, is my brain just a giant save button with no recall function? Has anyone else hit a random milestone like this and realized you're basically a digital squirrel?

Honestly, your "digital squirrel" line hit me harder than it should have. I used to think I was being smart by saving everything, like I was building some personal library of knowledge. But then I realized I never go back to 99% of it, it's just this giant pile of stuff I feel guilty about ignoring. Your post actually changed my mind, I spent an hour last night deleting hundreds of old saves and it felt way better than hoarding them ever did. Tbh, it's less about the saves and more about admitting my brain just likes the feeling of "future me will handle it", and future me never does.

But that future me saved it for a reason, deleting feels like throwing away possibilities.
