I used to think kids only cared about sugar and frosting, but after watching 28 seventh graders at Lincoln Middle scrape the cheese off a $3 pretzel and ask where the real bread was, I had to admit the $18 I saved was not worth the look on their faces, so has anyone else had a room full of kids humble them over food quality?
Wait, 28 kids scraped the cheese off?? That is wild. I cannot believe a whole class of seventh graders turned on a pretzel like that, scraping it down to nothing and then asking where the real bread was. Kids that age usually eat anything you put in front of them, so for all of them to gang up on it means that pretzel must have been straight up sad. You saved $18 and paid for it with 28 disappointed faces, that is a rough trade.
