I spent $200 on a meal delivery kit and ended up throwing half of it away
I signed up for HelloFresh last month because everyone said it saves time. But the portions were tiny and the recipes took way longer than 30 minutes like they claimed. After three boxes I had wasted like 60 bucks on stuff I never cooked because the veggies went bad first. Has anyone else had a similar problem with these kits or am I just bad at planning?

That moldy zucchini story is honestly the worst I've heard about these kits.

Blame the moldy zucchini for at least trying to become a science experiment before you could cook it. Did customer service at least offer to send a free mold starter kit for round two?

my friend lindsay tried one of those meal kits last year and it was a disaster honestly. she got the family plan for her and her husband and the portions were so small they were hungry again an hour later. she ended up having to order takeout like twice a week because the recipes took way longer than advertised and she'd just get frustrated. the worst part was when she found a moldy zucchini in her box on day two of having it and customer service took forever to even respond. after three weeks she canceled and said she'd rather just go back to her old way of ordering groceries online and winging it.
