My old diner in Ohio now has QR codes on every table

Stopped by Ma's Place in Dayton for the first time in 5 years and the menus are gone, just little black squares. I get that it's faster, but half the regulars are over 70 and the waitress had to walk four tables through it. Anyone else miss flipping through a greasy laminated menu?

Walking four tables through a QR code sounds like a slow Tuesday, not a crisis. They'll get it figured out or they'll just ask for the paper menu, either way the pie's still there.

So the real issue is that QR menus are saving restaurants money but pushing the work onto customers, and you think that's fine? Maybe I'm just old school, but when I go out to eat, I'm paying for service, not to do homework before I can order a burger. Do you actually like scanning codes to see a menu that's harder to read on your phone, or is it just whatever's easiest for the place?
