Threw $180 into those UV resin kits from Amazon
Bought a starter pack last spring thinking I'd make custom jewelry. 3 months later the resin bottles are all hard and I haven't touched the molds once. Anyone else collect craft supplies you swore you'd use?

oh god same lol i have a whole shelf dedicated to "future craft projects" that are just collecting dust at this point. what is it about buying supplies that feels like you're already halfway done? like the excitement of unboxing them is the real hobby, not the actual making. i swear my resin bottles turned into a brick before i even got the mold out of its packaging. honestly asking though, do you think you'll ever actually try using them again or are we just accepting that this is an expensive shelf decoration situation?

expensive shelf decoration situation" is way too real lmao. I've got a corner in my garage that's basically a shrine to half-finished projects. At this point I think buying the supplies IS the hobby for me, the making part is just a bonus if I ever get to it.

Boy, you just described my whole garage corner to a T. I've got a full set of wood carving tools from a 2019 phase that never saw a single piece of wood. Buying the stuff is definitely the real hobby, the dust collectors are just proof we tried.
