Vent: Thought my DIY method of fixing drywall was better than hiring a pro. Big mistake.
Last month I tried to patch a hole in my living room wall using youtube videos and a $12 spackle kit from the hardware store. After 3 coats and sanding it still looked like a crater. A local contractor near Charlotte came by to fix it perfectly in under 20 minutes using hot mud and a wide knife. The difference was his technique and the quality compound versus my cheap stuff. Have you ever wasted time and money trying to do something yourself when you should have just paid someone?
