Custard cracked on bake 12, then I switched pans and it stopped

I finally got my flan to stop splitting after trying 11 batches over 3 weekends, turns out my glass dish was too thin and the bottom heated unevenly. Swapped to a heavier ceramic one from the thrift store in Portland and the texture came out perfect, has anyone else hit that wall with ovenware?
